Cynthia “Cindi” Allen

The family of Cynthia “Cindi” Allen is deeply saddened to announce her passing on January 28, 2026. Cindi, 77, was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late Rev. George C. and Betty J. (Argabrite) Allen, Cindi lived a full and remarkable life. She touched the hearts and lives of everyone she met through her gracious spirit, contagious laughter, and decades of selfless dedication as a labor and delivery, emergency, and cardiac nurse. She will forever be cherished and remembered by her son, Roger Scott Van Fossen (Susan); her son-in-law Ronald Cross, widower of her daughter Bonnie Jean; grandsons Kyle Cross, Jared and Beau Van Fossen, Gabe and Zane Van Fossen, Clay Harvey; granddaughters Karah Cross and Shauri Harvey; siblings Suzanne Higgins (John), Rev. George C. Allen, II (Judith), Tamara Allen, and Geoffrey Allen (Shaundi); nieces Kathi (Winters) Sayre, Julia (Winters) Terrell, Amber (Winters) Goad, Sarah (Morris) Stewart, Katherine Allen, Abigail (Mrozek) Sedgwick, Genevieve Allen; nephews Adam Winters, George Allen III, Geoffrey Allen II, Samson Allen; many beloved great-nephews and great-nieces; and her countless cherished friends. A Celebration of Life service for Cindi will be announced at a later time.
