Thomas D. Brace

Thomas D. Brace, 81, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026, at Genesis Memory Care Unit in Sistersville. He was born April 17, 1944, in St Albans, WV, a son of the late Fred Brace and Orpha Toney Brace.

Tom was a hard worker and spent most of his employment at Kardex as a senior buyer until he retired in 2006. Even in retirement, he occupied his time working as a toll booth operator at the Memorial Bridge. Tom was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing with his friends.

He leaves behind a wife of 37 years, Mary Jo Brace; stepsons, Lance Gordon and Scott (Melissa) Gordon of Parkersburg, stepdaughter Heather (Brian)Tanner of Williamstown; and several step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Brace and Chuck Brace.

A private inurnment and graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens later.
