Stephen F. Engle

Stephen Francis Engle, 73, of Vienna, passed away January 16, 2025, at his residence. He was born August 15, 1952 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Frederick C. and Laura Reilley Engle.

Mr. Engle retired from Americas Styrenics, formerly Chevron-Phillips Corp. with 30 years of service. He was a 1970 graduate of Parkersburg Catholic High where he participated in Football, Baseball and Crew. Stephen was a long-time member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He served in the U. S. Army Reserves and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and golfing and was a Marshall University Thundering Herd fan.

Surviving is his wife Cathy Anne Grewe Engle, daughter Hope Engle of Parkersburg, son Eric Engle of Parkersburg, four sisters: Lynn Furin of Anchorage, AK, Debbie Parton of Parkersburg, Karen Byers of Parkersburg and Laura Cash of Plainville, MA, brother Joe Engle (Jill) of Huntsville, AL, two grandchildren: Reagan Engle and Alex Deem along with a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Jane Mazzacane and Catherine Engle and brother Mark Engle.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday 12 Noon at the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Reverend John Gallagher officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 10-12 at the church.
