Sandra Ann Stapleton

Sandra Ann Stapleton, 84, of Mineral Wells, passed away December 26, 2025, at her residence. She was born on April 10, 1941 in PA a daughter of the late Henry and Ruth Hines Erdman.

Sandra was a devoted domestic engineer and member of First Lutheran Church. She volunteered at Mineral Wells Elementary School and served as a Girl Scout Leader. She was a huge animal lover and supporter. She enjoyed traveling out West and was a dedicated grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by three children, Robert Stapleton of Marietta, OH, Kathleen (Jeff) Beatty of Mineral Wells, Pamela (Neil) Morehead of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Jamie, Josh, Sean, Ryan, David, Andy and Zachary; step granddaughter, Kristin; and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude E. Stapleton and one brother, William Erdman.

A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, January 10th, 2026, 3:00 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkesburg with Reverend Kurt Busiek officiating.

Visitation will be held Saturday 2-3 pm at the funeral home.

Donations may be made in Sandra’s memory to the Humane Society of Parkersburg or PETA.
