Robert “Bob” Eakin

Robert “Bob” Eakin, age 63, peacefully passed away on January 16, 2026, surrounded by his family, and entered into the arms of Jesus.

Bob was born on July 19, 1962, in Parkersburg, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Eakin, Sr. and Helen Eakin.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Ken Ahart, with whom he resided; nieces Christina (Chad) McVey and Melissa (Joel) Wyant; great-nieces and nephews, Landon and Noah McVey, and Hailey and Lily Wyant; and his brother Donald (Susie) Eakin, Jr., along with extended family members.

Bob was an employee of SW Resources for 30 years. He enjoyed camping, golf cart rides, playing games with his family, and listening to Elvis music. Bob will be remembered for his contagious spirit of happiness and his love toward everyone.

Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 11:00am., with burial to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
