Lawrence Joseph Carson
Carson
Lawrence Joseph Carson, 67, of Vienna passed away January 2, 2026 at his residence. He was born May 23, 1958, a son to the late Dr. Charles P. and Leona L. Carson (Emper).
Larry was known for his corny jokes, his lifelong love of music, and his remarkable talent as a guitarist – truly one of the best. Music was central to who he was and how he connected with others. An accomplished musician, he played for the hit rock ‘n’ roll group Danny & the Juniors, opened for Blondie at CBGB, and performed with numerous bands over the years.
A proud Philadelphian and food enthusiast, Larry showed his love through cooking – especially his legendary Philly cheesesteaks, spaghetti and meatballs, and his signature apple pie with crumblies. He also had a deep love for the Jersey shore, a family favorite vacation spot.
Most significantly, he was a loving father, devoted grandfather, husband and a man whose greatest joy was his family. He embraced those roles with deep pride and endless love.
Surviving Larry is his wife Pam Carson (Peters); daughters Brianna Carson, Caitlin Carson, and Devyn Summers (Ian); son Brady Carson (Rachel); grandchildren Claire, Oliver, Gage, and Addie; siblings Dennis, Christine, Elaine, David, Robert, Thomas, and Jim, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents.
Per Larry and the family’s wishes, there will be a private memorial gathering at a later date, and his remains will be cremated.
He is deeply missed.
