Gail DeLaMater

Gail Helene DeLaMater, 87, of Shepherdstown, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at her home.

Born February 20, 1938, in Vineland, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Philip Joseph Pease and Ida Helene Toulson Pease and spent her teenage years with them in Parkersburg.

In 1958 she married W. Dean DeLaMater, also of Parkersburg. They moved to Weirton in 1960, and she lived there until 2012, when she moved to be near her daughter, Susan. During her time in Weirton, she worked as Director of Volunteer Services for Weirton Medical Center.

She is survived by her sons, Robert and Mark DeLaMater; daughter, Susan Niamatali; five grandchildren; and a sister, Susan Allander.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W. Dean DeLaMater in 2000.

Graveside services will be held Friday, January 9, 2026, at 12 Noon at Riverview Cemetery in Parkersburg, WV.
