Edwina Lloyd Armstrong

October 3, 1936 – December 17, 2025

Edwina Lloyd Armstrong of Parkersburg passed away peacefully on 17 December 2025 after a brief illness. She was born in 1936 to Sterrett and Marie Lloyd and was a 1957 graduate of the Camden Clark School of Nursing.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Nile Kenneth Armstrong. She is survived by her children Cynthia A. Whitlock (Kenny), Kenneth Lloyd Armstrong (Belinda), and Anne Marie Armstrong.

She cherished a close bond with each of her 10 grandchildren; Selby, Kent, Ryan, Zach, Kathleen, Rachel, Nicholas, Sarah, Addison and Jacob. She was also blessed with 10 great grandchildren.

She is survived by her sister Judith Hannaman of Fairfax, Virginia, and brothers Kent Lloyd (Dot) of Naples, Florida, and David Lloyd (Susan) of Chicago, Illinois.

Winnie enjoyed reading, walking her dog in the City Park, and lunches with her School Nurse friends. She shared her culinary treats with all and nurtured close relationships with neighbors and friends.

Mrs. Armstrong donated her remains to the WVU Human Gift Registry and requested a private service. A donation in her memory may be made to Latrobe Street Mission.
