Norma S. Williams

Norma S. Williams, 86, of Cedar Grove, passed away December 28, 2025, at Cedar Grove Assisted Living Facility.

She was born April 8, 1939, in Wood County, but grew up in the Coolville area, graduating from Carthage Troy High School in 1957. She was a homemaker, pianist at Pleasant Hill Community Church, and friend to many.

She is survived by her son Alan of Mineral Wells; a sister, Sandra (Gary) Kieth of Weston; three brothers, Stanley, Ernest and Melvin (Mary) James all of Weston; special Aunt, Bernice Vogelsong of Coolville and Uncle Earl (Donna) Sams of Cedar Grove.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rodney “Dutch” (Carrie) Gorrell, and mother, Mable (Jesse) James; husband, John R. Williams; and brother Steven James.

Services will be Friday 2:00 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Rev. Chuck Furbee officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery North.

Visitation will be Friday 12 -2 pm at the funeral home.
