Luella S. Nichols

Luella S. Nichols, 95, St. Marys, WV, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Camden Clark Medical Center. Born in Laredo, TX, on September 16, 1930, she was the daughter of William “Bill” and Myrtle Stewart Marple. She was a 1949 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading, and traveling. Luella loved spending time with all of her family. She also loved going to John and Linda’s Cabin and going to New Mexico to see Susan, Brent, Lance, and J.T.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda K. (John) Wilson, and Susan L. (Brent) Wilson; five grandchildren, Alex (Megan) Illar, IV, Justin Illar, Melissa “Missy” (Roger) Kerns; Lance J. (Blake Paris) Wilson, and Joshua “J.T.” Wilson; six great-grandchildren, Ethan Illar, Logan Illar, Norah Illar, Barrett Illar, Brandon (Becca) Mathews, and Dylan (Autumn) Fetty; and two great-great-grandchildren, Cole and Kaden Fetty.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Ingram Funeral Home with Elder Dale Goins officiating. Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery (Park Section), St. Marys, WV. Friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday and from 10 to 11 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com.
