Kim was a deeply loving and nurturing woman, known for her fierce devotion to those she cared about. A true “mama bear,” she was protectively loyal and loved with her whole heart. She had a special love for children and found great joy in spoiling them whenever she could.
She spent many years working as a CNA in home health and nursing homes, caring for others with compassion and patience. Later in life, she worked as a dispatcher for over-the-road truck drivers before retiring. Kim and her late husband made their home in Parkersburg, where family was always welcome.
Family gatherings were especially important to Kim, and she worked hard to make every occasion memorable. She was known for cooking some of the best barbecue around and took pride in bringing people together. She also enjoyed riding four-wheelers with her husband, brothers, and friends, cherishing time spent outdoors and surrounded by those she loved.
Kim experienced profound loss throughout her life, yet she continued to love deeply and give generously of herself. While those left behind grieve her passing, there is comfort in knowing she is reunited with the family she missed so dearly. Her legacy lives on in the love she shared, the care she gave, and the family bonds she helped hold together.
Visitation will be held at Leavitt Funeral Home on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Kim will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
