Kenneth G. Walters

Kenneth Gene Walters Jr., 64, of Williamstown, passed away unexpectedly at his residence, December 22, 2025. He was born in Mullens, WV, a son of the late Kenneth G. and Gaynell Hill Walters.

Kenneth served 22 years in the United States Marine Corps. He served valiantly overseas on the USS Eisenhower, in the Presidential Drug Task Force in Columbia, and then finished out his career doing what he loved teaching Recruiter School at USMCRD in San Diego, California, where he then retired in 2004.

Kenneth was a member of the American Legion of Williamstown Post 159, where he served as part of their Honor Guard. He loved serving with these men and the camaraderie that came with it.

Kenneth was also a member of the Church of Christ, and is now walking side by side with his Heavenly Father.

Surviving is his loving wife of 32 years, Monica L. Fitch Walters, two daughters: Camille Peters (Matthew) of Vienna and Cassandra Walters of the home, two brothers: H. J. Walters and Dean Walters, both of Pineville, WV, several nieces and nephews, his mother-in-law Sara Fitch and sisters-in-law: Adria Offenberger (Jay) and Natalie Bradley (Benjamin).

In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Roger Fitch.

Funeral services will be Sunday 4PM at the Williamstown Church of Christ with Evangelist Teddy Tackett officiating. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery, Grafton, WV at a later date. Visitation will be Sunday 2-4PM at the church.
