James Paul Smith

James Paul Smith, 79, of Mineral Wells, WV, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born May 1, 1946, in Clarksburg, WV, to the late Clair and Madeline Spurr Smith.

James was a 1964 graduate of Parkersburg High School. He was retired from Dupont Washington Works as a E & I mechanic. James was a ham radio operator, his call signs were WB8MDY. He was also a past local member of the Army Reserves.

Carrying on his memory include his loving wife, Carolyn Smith; his son, Jeffrey Smith; sisters, Linda Robinson and Sherry Sponseller (Dana); and several nieces and nephews.

In honoring his wishes, there will be no services at this time.
