Daneen Pacifico
Daneen Pacifico
Daneen Pacifico released her spirit to the light on December 28, 2025.
She was born on June 15, 1953 in Fairmont, WV to Daniel A. Pacifico and Lenora Colantino Pacifico. Daneen was a proud graduate of the Fairmont Senior High School class of ’71 (best class ever) and graduated cum laude from WVU with a masters degree in Audiology.
In 1977, she moved to Parkersburg, WV to begin her professional career with Parkersburg Medical Associates. She then established Audiology Services, a private practice where she was honored to serve thousands of residents of the MOV with their hearing healthcare for 37 years. She always professed that getting to know and form relationships with her patients was her biggest reward.
She was a member of the American Academy of Audiology, The American Speech, Language and Hearing Association, a past treasurer of the WV Speech, Language and Hearing Association, a past president and 23 year board member of the Humane Society of Parkersburg, and a member of Altrusa International. At WVU she served on the Homecoming Committee and was a member of Chi Omega sorority.
Daneen loved to travel and experience different cultures, was an advocate for and lover of all animals, was soulfully impressed by the beauty of nature, and was a champion for the underdog.
She is survived by her partner through life, John Lichiello, her very loving and supportive sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Jack LaCavalla (Bronxville, NY), her niece and nephew whom she adored, Lauren LaCavalla (White Plains, NY), and Daniel LaCavalla (Bronxville, NY). She is also survived by her “best cousins in the world” and many wonderful friends who were each uniquely special.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, special aunts and uncles, cousin Nick Colantino (Fairmont, WV), and her cherished four-legged babies who always remained close to her heart.
In accordance with her wishes there will be a family gathering at a later date.
Daneen and her family wanted to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Kelli Cawley whom she always called a brilliant angel on earth, and to her wonderful nurses and staff who held a special place in her heart.
Should you be so inclined to honor her memory, donations could be made to the Humane Society of Parkersburg (HSOP.org), by performing a random act of kindness, or by striving to help the less fortunate.
