Christopher “Chris” Michael Lawson, age 48, of Rockwall, Texas, passed away on December 10, 2025. He was born on October 25, 1977, in Fort Rucker, Alabama.

Chris was a beloved son, brother, and family member whose life touched many. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit and love for music. Chris had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hiking, and fishing, as well as traveling the world and attending concerts. Chris’s laugh was unforgettable–full, genuine, and so contagious that it often had everyone else laughing with him. Chris will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Chris is survived by his mother, Terry Nutter; his bonus father and friend, Ed Nutter; his sisters, Jessica Dunbar and Alyson Lawson; his aunts and uncles, Mike McDougle, Jennifer McDougle Kelly, Steve McDougle, Toni Allen, Amanda Lawson Tipton, and Peter Lawson; and his cousins, who will forever cherish his memory.

Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 20 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 532 Market Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101 with Father John Rice as Celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Mt Carmel Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to mass.
