Angela Dawn Harkness-Martin

Angela Dawn Harkness-Martin, 59, of Parkersburg, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late James Edward and Glenda Lillien (Dennison) Stout.

She graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1984, where she was the first female three time drum major in the Big Red Band. Angie worked for many years in the banking business before joining Hall Financial as their office manager. She was a member of the Arc of the Mid Ohio Valley, The Smoot Theatre, and The Taste of Parkersburg. She enjoyed playing music, traveling, long weekends, motorcycle riding, photography, exploring the city, wine, cooking classes, watching Food Network, and blending recipes.

She is survived by her husband Jeff Martin; three sons Dustin C. Harkness (Ingrid) of Martinsburg, WV, Nathan Harkness (Kellye) of Stewart, OH, and Ryan Harkness of Bradenton, FL; two step children Nicholas Martin (Sarah) of East Sparta, OH and Mariah Church (Andrew) of Parkersburg; grandchildren Brynley, Hayden, Leah, Jake, Knox, and Quin Harkness; step grandchildren Sadie Martin, Abby Shields, and Lyndon and Lukas Church; brother James E. Stout II (Michelle); and nieces Regan and Kaylynn Stout.

Services will be Saturday 7:30 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Jeff Edman officiating. Visitation will be Saturday 2-4 and 6-7:30 PM.
