William Michael "Mike" Kiser, 75, of Washington, WV, passed away on November 19, 2025, at Camden Clark Medical Center. Born on May 22, 1950, in Parkersburg, WV, to William L. Kiser and Betty L. Kiser, Mike spent his life rooted in the community he loved. A graduate of Parkersburg South High School, he pursued higher education at West Virginia University at Parkersburg (WVUP) where he studied to become a Chemical Engineer. His professional journey spanned several decades and included work with Marbon Chemicals and Borg-Warner Chemicals. He later retired from GE Plastics and Sabic leaving behind a legacy of dedication and hard work in the chemical industry. Mike was known for his tireless work ethic, generous spirit and caring nature. He had a knack for making his family smile specially during the holidays when he would share his famous peanut butter and chocolate fudge and legendary Chex Mix. These treats became cherished traditions among his family. Mike found great joy in trout fishing trips to Elkins, WV. These outings were treasured times spent alongside his brothers Pat and Rod Kiser, son Justin Kiser and grandson Chase Kiser. Whether casting a line or tending to his garden. Where he proudly grew some of the best tomatoes around – Mike found peace and fulfillment in nature's simple pleasures.
He leaves behind his beloved partner of 22 years Darlene Lynn his son Justin Kiser and daughter-in-law Sara Kiser. Four grandchildren Chase Kiser (and wife Tori), Kati Kiser, Brayden Kiser (partner Emma Gibson) and Ryatt Kiser. As well as four great grandchildren. Also mourning his loss is his brother and fishing companions Rod Kiser. Mike was preceded in death by his father William L. Kiser, Mother Betty L. Straight Kiser Garst and brother Pat Kiser. His memory will live on through the stories shared by those who loved him. The arrangements are entrusted to the Mid-Ohio Valley Cremation Society. There will be no visiting or public services per. Mike's wishes. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
