Randall Lee Bennett
Randall Lee Bennett, 76, of Vienna, WV, passed away on Sept. 30, 2025, at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born June 25, 1949, the son of Kenneth and Emilie June Bennett, who preceded him in death along with his oldest sister Judith Dianne (Bennett) Stutler. He graduated in 1969 from Parkersburg High School. While at PHS he was with a band called the “Hemis”
He joined the U.S. Army in 1969, and was based at Ft. Seal, OK, and then transferred to Bonn, Germany. Upon finishing his time with the army he came back to Parkersburg and began a gospel group with his dear friend, Rex Anderson called the Glad Tidings. They traveled around to many places singing and preaching the word of God.
From there he moved to Tampa, FL, working construction for several years. He came back to WV for a brief time before moving to Columbus, OH, where he owned his own plumbing business for 25 years. With the diagnosis of his cancer, he moved back to Vienna, where he could have his family to care for him.
He is survived by his two sons Jeremy and Joshua Bennett. His brothers, Bob and Dick Bennett, and his sisters Melanie Fulmer and Teresa Snyder.
The Bennett family wishes to thank Dr. Kelli Cawley, the nurses and staff at the Strecker Cancer center in Belpre, the staff and nurses with Amedisys in Vienna, and the nurses and staff on 3 West and 5th floor at Camden Clark. Abiding with his wishes he will be cremated. His remains will be laid to rest at the family plot at Mt. Olivet.
His nephew, Rev. Timothy (Timmy) Stutler II, of Chicago, Ill., will be Conducting the Memorial service at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 7th, at Fellowship Baptist Church on Rosemar Road.
The Bennett children wish to thank our sister, Melanie Fulmer, for her love and kindness toward Randy. She has been his caregiver for the last 2 1/2 years.
