Michael Ervin Stone

Michael Ervin Stone, 78, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away on October 21, 2025, at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.

Mike was born on August 27, 1947, in Boone County, WV, to Kessel and Dixie Stone.

Mike was a member of the Latrobe Street Church of Christ. He was a skilled carpenter who had built many things, including the family home and hunting cabin where he enjoyed spending much of his time. He loved the outdoors and spent time hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, and sharing his love of the outdoors with others. He was a hard worker who never liked to be still. More than anything, he loved being Papa to his grandchildren.

Mike is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pauline; children, Kathy (Dave) Martin, Rachel (Heath) Dennis, and Kessel Stone; and grandchildren, Jonathan Martin, Abby Martin, Reese Dennis, Silas Dennis, Brayden Stone, and Kinsley Stone. He is also survived by his siblings, Nye Stone Dalton, Tim (Bondina) Stone, and Robert Stone as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Curtis Miller.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gnegy, Dr. Kuppuswamy, Dr. Kelil, and Dr. Gutierrez for their care of Mike over the years and in recent days.

There will be a memorial at a later date.
