Mark W. Barber

Mark W. Barber, 60, of Vienna, passed away October 13, 2025, at his residence. He was born on February 3, 1965, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Richard and Virginia Williams Barber.

He was a faithful worker for over 24 years at the Blennerhassett Hotel, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed attending and listening to PHS football games. He loved wood working but most of all treasured being his grandchildren’s playmate.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ellen Barber; two sons, Robert (Melissa) Sheppard of Parkersburg, Daniel (Tonya) Sheppard of Vienna; three grandchildren, Hannah Sheppard, Lucas Sheppard and Scarlett Sheppard; two sisters, Margie (Jeff) Semones, Sandy (Steve) Pence.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Bryan Semones.

Memorial Services will be Friday 3:00 pm, October 17th, at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Jerry Sowders officiating.

Visitation will be held Friday 2-3 pm at the funeral home.
