Larry D. Wigal

Larry D. Wigal, 86, of Evans, WV, formerly of Vienna, WV, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025, at his residence. He was born January 15, 1939 in Parkersburg, WV a son of the late Seldon L. and Leona (Kauffman) Wigal.

He was a member of Crossroad Church in Waverly, WV where he served as trustee for the church and parsonage and various other leadership roles. Larry also served as a trustee for the Little Kanawha district parsonage and Crossroads Camps Along with his wife Betty, they served as the caretakers of the Little Kanawha District Crossroads Camp from 1999-2005. He retired from DuPont in Belle, WV and was a veteran of the United States navy. He loved gardening.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-six years Betty L. (Eaton) Wigal; daughter Cheri Edmonds (Bill) of Fort Mill, SC; son Larry “Fritz” Wigal (Kim) of Evans, WV; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two step grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; and two brothers Seldon L. Wigal, Jr. of Parkersburg and Jim Wigal (Judi) of Vienna, WV.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Wood.

Services will be Sunday 4:00 PM at Crossroads Church, 7390 Old St. Marys Pike, Waverly, WV 26184. Visitation will be Sunday 2-4 PM at the church. Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Larry’s memory to Crossroads Capital Improvement Fund.
