James Lawrence Mullen

James Lawrence Mullen, 81, passed away under the loving care of his daughter at her home in Parkersburg on October 9, 2025. He was born on March 27, 1944 a son of the late Edward and Iva Beatrice Giffen Mullen. Jim retired from O’Ames after 30 years of service on April 29, 2003.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Mike) Silket; two sons, Jerry Allen and Jonathan Mullen; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and his buddy “Sam” the cat.

In addition to his parents, and as the last surviving member of his family he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Bell Mullen; one sister, Bernice Yuloff; three brothers, Carl Edward, Bernard Harold and Shirley Ray Mullen.

Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Wednesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Father John Rice officiating

Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
