Dolleta “Dolly” Bennett

Dolleta “Dolly” Bennett, 87, of Amesville, passed away Wed., Oct. 9, 2025, at Riverside Landing in McConnelsville. She was born Feb. 9, 1938, to the late James and Lena Jackson Norman in Parkersburg, WV. She worked on the family farm, was a homemaker and was a member of Mt. Hermon Church. She is survived by 3 sons, Dennis (Charlotte) Bennett of Amesville, Dave (Carolyn) Bennett of Amesville, and Daniel Bennett of Belpre; 2 daughters, Deana (Marvin) Clark of Beverly and Darlena (Everett) Clark of Amesville, 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, the Rev. Delbert Bennett; son, Dale Bennett; 2 sisters, Rosalie Robb and Wilda Bungard; granddaughter, Leah Clark; and great-granddaughter Jennifer Bennett. Funeral service will be Sun. Oct. 12, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Hermon Church in Amesville with Pastor Mike Wells officiating. Friends may call on the family Sat., Oct. 11, 2025, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill, and one hour prior to services on Sunday.
