David Julius Kanalz

A memorial service for David Julius Kanalz, of Vienna, WV will be held on Sunday, Oct. 5th at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Parkersburg. David passed away on May 22, 2025, following a brief illness.

The service will be led by David’s pastor, the Rev. Annie McMillan. Rev. Dr. Heather Murray Elkins, one of David’s cousins. will offer a brief reflection on behalf of the family.

Friends and family are invited to a reception following the service, hosted by members of the church. David’s ashes will be laid to rest in the church beside those of his wife, Jody Butcher Kanalz.
