Mildred Sharon Mills, 88, of Belleville, WV, passed away Sept. 28, 2025, at her residence.
She was born April 4, 1937, in Louisa, Kentucky, daughter of the late George Sparks and Beatrice Damron Sparks.
Mildred was an active member of New Life Baptist Church. She retired from Kroger after 15 years of service. She enjoyed quilting and cooking for her family. Mildred's kind spirit, generosity, and compassion touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband, John Mills; sons, James (Lisa) Mills, John (Katrina) Mills, Patrick (Pamela) Mills; daughter, Julie (Glenn) Gossett; two brothers and fifteen grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Jackson County, WV. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, at the funeral home.
