Melanie L. Auville, 84, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, formerly of Belleville, WV, passed away September 1, 2025, at her residence.
She was born February 13, 1941, in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late Helen Stevens Auville and Blaine Auville Sr.
Melanie graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1959 and married her high school sweetheart, Merlyn Boston. They lived in Washington, WV, until the late 1960’s. She moved to Florida and eventually Altamonte Springs, where she built her life and career. She was a dedicated Building Inspector for the City of Altamonte Springs, Florida for 11 years, where she faithfully served the community with professionalism and care to the residents and City of Altamonte Springs. She enjoyed doing crafts and found joy in creating and sharing her talents with others. She enjoyed home decor, and eventually started her own business, helping friends, family, and clients design kitchens, rooms, and other spaces that reflected their lives and personalities. She will be remembered for her eye for beauty, her creativity, and the joy she brought into the lives of others.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her daughter, Sandy Stinebaker of Altamont Springs, FL; daughter-in-law, Sue Boston of Houston, TX; brothers, Gene Auville of Seligman, AZ, Blaine (Libby) Auville of Belleville, WV; niece, Tracee (Tracy) Parks/Auville of CA; nephews, Mark (Jen) Auville of CA, Nathan Auville of CA, Luke Auville of NC, Bruce (Nantida) Auville of WV, Ben (Mycah) Auville of WV; grandchildren, Steven (Cleo) Stinebaker of CA, Stephanie (Scott) Geno of MO; great grandchildren, Anna Bella, Charlotte, Tyler, Annie, and Chris; and a number of great nephews and great nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Frederick Auville; sister-in-law, Judith Auville; sister-in-law, Linda Auville; and by her son, Mickey Boston.
Melanie was cremated, and no formal services will be held. Her family encourages friends to remember her in their own special way.
