Frances Joye Cunningham
Frances Joye Cunningham, 88, of the Hebron Community of Pleasants County, WV, departed this life peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, with her loving family by her side.
She was born November 2, 1936 in Gallipolis, OH, the daughter of the late Marion Cluster and Ruby E. (Little) Williamson. In 1954, she married her late husband Harvey and started a family. Frances took great pride in being a loving homemaker for her family. In 1963, Harvey and Frances bought Maple Lane Farm where they ran a dairy for more than 25 years. She was a vital partner in the dairy farm from milking cows and feeding calves to cooking meals for all the farm hands to enjoy around the family dinner table.
Frances had a great love of quilting, sewing, and crafting. She covered her family with love in the form of the many handmade quilts that she made for all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved trying new recipes and seeing her shelves lined with home canned goods brought a big smile to her face. Frances also had a love of yard sales and bright vibrant flowers. She has been a longtime member of the Maple Lane Freewill Baptist Church of Hebron, WV, and was a proud member of the Hebron CEOs, the Calcutta Quilters, 1st Baptist Silver Needles of St. Marys, WV, and Snips and Tips of St. Marys, WV. For 10 years, Frances also worked in home health for the St. Marys Senior Citizens that she greatly enjoyed.
She is survived by her children, Debby Hadley (Keith), Kevin Neil Cunningham (Angie), and Eric Wade Cunningham (Audra) all of Hebron, WV; her cherished grandchildren, Sarah Hadley (Chris Ball) of St. Marys, WV; Jesse Hadley (Amanda) of Hebron, WV; Heidi Cunningham of Las Vegas, NV; Joshua Cunningham (Nikki) of St. Marys, WV; Erica Bennett (Tony) of St. Marys, WV, and Nathan Cunningham (Karley) of Hebron, WV; her admired great grandchildren, Callie, Luke, Paisley, Marshall, Xavier, Jaydan, Bentley, Yaden, Kyleigh, Bexley, and Kalem, along with her brother, Kenny Williamson (Linda) of Pennsboro, WV, and loving nieces and nephews.
