Anita K. James
Anita K. James, age 80, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, at the Cedar Grove Assisted Living.
She was born April 20, 1945, in Sandyville, WV, a daughter of the late Gilbert C. And Margie L. Derenberger Corns. Anita was a member of the Little Hocking United Methodist Church and attended the Evangelical Methodist Church, Parkersburg. She enjoyed her church, crocheting, working puzzles, and enjoyed going to the mountains and spending time with family.
Anita was a graduate of Gilmore High School class of 1963.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle R. Irvine (Randy) of Williamstown, WV; her granddaughter, Hayley Irvine of Nashville, TN; her sister, Eleanor Ramsey of Spencer, WV; sister-in-law, Flo Corns of Elyria, OH; brothers-in-law, Jim Knotts (Vera), Gary Knotts (Beth) and David Knotts; close friend, Opal Keebaugh and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. James; sister, Harriet Kinder and two brothers, Jim Corns and Eddie Corns.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Jeff Williamson officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
