Sarah "Amy" Burton Johnson, 97, of Mineral Wells, passed away July 31, 2025, at her residence. She was born Nov. 21, 1927, in Elizabeth, a daughter of the late Frank and Fadelia Wright Burton.
Amy was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, watching Nascar, and enjoying time with her grandkids and watching them in all their activities.
She leaves behind her sons, Wayne Johnson and Keith Johnson (Debby) of Mineral Wells; her grandson, Brian Johnson (Jennifer) of Mineral Wells; three great-grandchildren, Keithlynn Johnson, Bryant Ball, and Brenna Riggs; one sister, Opal Thompson of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. Johnson, five brothers, and three sisters.
Per her wishes, there will be no services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Amy's family wants to thank Amedisys Hospice for their love and care they provided.
Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg, has been entrusted with Amy's final wishes and are honored to serve her family.
