Jacquelynn Michelle Johnson

Jacquelynn Michelle Johnson
Jacquelynn Michelle Johnson, 50, of Vienna, passed away August 11, 2025. She was born April 13, 1975, a daughter to the late Gene P. and Barbara J. Johnson (George).
Jacque was sassy, sarcastic, empathetic, and curious about the world. She was always open to a late night road trip for coffee while making a long story even longer. Girls’ Trips became a yearly event if only for her love of making charcuterie.
Her love for life was evident in her travels — across the country to work at an amusement park in the summer, on a train in post cold war Russia, watching live hockey games in the Boy Aquarium, or sunburning on a beach in Jamaica — she was busy making memories. She was a lifelong LGBTQ+ ally and became a wedding officiant to help others.
Jacque’s knowledge of 90’s-2000’s radio music and movies as well as a love of reading made her unstoppable at local trivia nights which led to her being known as our pop culture princess. She will always be our person, our secret keeper, and the found family we choose.
Surviving Jacquelynn are her best friends Alex McDowell and Kelly Sidwell; work-husband Eric Braniff (Eva); sister Tonja Bailey (Steven); half brother Steve Johnson (Judy); half-sister Peggy Tennant, and special girls whom she loved, Iris and Vera Greenwalt.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial gathering for Jacquelynn will be held Saturday, August 16, at Leavitt Reception Center on Avery from 4-7pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The Humane Society of Parkersburg, PO Box 392, Parkersburg WV 26102.
