Ruth Ann (Ruthie) Tredway

Ruth Ann (Ruthie) Tredway, 89 of Belpre, Ohio passed away peacefully July 8, 2025, at The Arbors in Marietta, Ohio. She was born in Parkersburg, WV, Jan. 29, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Joseph Edgar and Nettie Myrtle Adams Moore. Ruth was a 1954 graduate of Belpre High School After graduating, Ruth had worked for Golf Pride Grips and PPG in Spartansburg, SC. Ruth had also managed Enterprise Car Rental prior to working as an accounting assistant for her church, Jackson Grove,United Methodist Church, in Landrum SC. In her spare time, Ruth enjoyed golfing and was an avid bowler.

Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Dick Tredway, Belpre, Ohio. Three stepdaughters, Tracy Johns (Al) of Dothan, AL., Paula Tredway, Belpr,e Ohio, Taylor Griffith (Floyd), Marietta, Ohio, step-granddaughter Paige Griffith, Marietta, Ohio. A niece, Carolyn Garner, of Pleasant Garden NC, whom in Ruth’s heart, growing up was more of her sister, than a niece. A loving nephew, John Hendricks, of FL.

In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her first husband, Alvin McIndoe, Sisters Veda Hendricks, Betty Perdue, Four brothers, Simon Moore, Leslie Moore, Wilbert Moore and Paul Moore, Brother-in-law, Roger Tredway.

A Heartfelt Thank you, goes out to the Amedisys Hospice Care, and the 3rd floor, Memory Care, “G Wing” at the Arbors, Marietta Oh, for their outstanding care of Ruth.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, Ohio, on Aug. 16, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m., with Pastor Dennis Pratt officiating.
