Michael L. “Mike” Bennett

Michael L. “Mike” Bennett, 67, St. Marys, WV, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Cleveland Clinic. Born in Marietta, Ohio, on July 4, 1958, he was the son of the late Leonard Wetzel and Anna May Pearl Bunner Bennett. He is 1976 graduate of St. Marys High School, and earned two Associates Degrees from Washington State Community College. Mike was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. He retired from Kraton Polymers in February after 17 years of service. He enjoyed turkey hunting, deer hunting, four-wheeler riding, old cars, camping, and going to swap meets. He loved being with family.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Scott Bennett; two children, Gary Dale (Kristin) Scott, and Heather Dawn (Robert) Warner; four grandchildren, Destiny Scott, Madison Scott, Dakota Warner, and Brandy (Tyler) Tabernack; two great-grandchildren, Trinity and Mihaela; three sisters, Beverly (Elmo) Wiles, Carol (Clive) Harvey, and Deborah (Joe) Strum; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV with Andy Auxier officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com.
