Mary Pauline Patterson

Mary Pauline Patterson, 87, of Mineral Wells, WV, passed away July 27, 2025, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born in Creston, WV, the daughter of the late Johnny and Claria (Hall) Criss. She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church of Parkersburg, WV, enjoyed her flowers, garage sales, gospel bluegrass music and loved talking and meeting people. (She never met a stranger)

Survived by her Daughter Brenda Holbert (Starling); son Christopher Patterson, stepdaughters: Betty Patterson, Patty Roberts, Linda Angelo and Robin Peters, grandchildren Lori Surratt (James Russo), Kevin Surratt and Angela Surratt (Scott Sharpe), 8 great grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren and 16 step great grandchildren. Sister, Edna Ward.

In addition to both her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Carl Patterson, brother Charles Criss and stepson Michael Patterson.

Services will be 11:00am Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth with the Pastor Tom Gribble officiating. Visitation will be Friday, August 1, 2025, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am until time of service. Interment at Hill Grove II.
