Jean Marie Ruble, 89, of Parkersburg, passed away June 29, 2025, at the Camden Clark Medical Center, WVU. She was born in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late James G. and Nancy Kathryn (Deem) Coe.
She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital (where she became a CRNA) for over fifty-years and continued to be a traveling nurse anesthetist. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She loved basket making, gardening, sewing, reading, and traveling with family and friends. She was a fanatic of West Virginia history and the Wood County Historical Society.
She is survived by her children David L. Ruble (Gaye) of Randolph, NH, Lisa M. Pitman (Gary) of Tucson, AZ, and Timothy A. Ruble of Parkersburg; grandchildren Amber D. Ruble Pereira (Marco), Randy Baldwin, Kathryn Shotwell (Jon), Jessica Ruble, and Issac Pitman; fifteen great grandchildren; and three sisters Juliet Black, Sharon Foster, and Wendy Coe-Loftis (Bob).
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Sanford E. Ruble, Jr.; grandson Jason Baldwin; and three sisters Nancy Coe, Jacki Wright, and Lois Goodrich.
Services will be Saturday 3:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Visitation will be Saturday 1-3 PM. Inurnment will be at a later date at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Mineral Wells.
