Janice Irene Malone

Janice Irene Malone, 73, Oak Grove Road Community, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025, at WVU Medicine Camden Clark. Born in Green’s Run, St. Marys, WV, on March 26, 1952, she is the daughter of Robert “Bob” Cronin and the late Genieve Mitchell. She was a proud 1970 graduate of St. Marys High School, where she participated in the marching band and chorus. Upon graduation she married her cherished husband Terry on June 19, 1970. After marriage, the couple resided in the Oak Grove Community, where they lived and raised their two daughters, Christy and Wendy. In 1982, Janice graduated from Wood County Technical College as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She excelled in her field while working at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Janice was very proud of being a loving and kind nurse to all of her patients.

Janice is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Christy Ann; her loving in-laws, Doris and Floyd Malone; her mother, Genieve Mitchell; her stepmother, Gen Cronin; and her two stepbrothers, Frank and Ed Magee. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Terry Malone; daughter, Wendy (David) Mace; two grandchildren, Alex and Zane Mace; father, Robert (Bob) Cronin; sister-in-law, Kay (Rick) Stanley; brother, Mike Cronin; two sisters, Sherri Sepessey, and Tracy Carpenter; and her cherished neighbors, Mike, Laura, Brian, and Brooke Coartney.

Janice was a loving, kind, compassionate, warm hearted, friend, mother, wife, and nurse to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys with J.D. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Island Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com.
