Edward George Haislop V
The brightest light we’ve ever known Edward George Haislop V went to be with the Lord on July 26, 2025. He leaves behind family and friends that are devastated by his passing.
Eddie was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia and was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and West Virginia University. He was the proud business owner of Acemed solutions where he worked alongside his mother, father and sister to help care for patients throughout the state of West Virginia. Prior to coming home to start this company, he worked all over the United States and made friends near and far- and as everyone knows, Eddie never met a stranger.
Eddie is survived by his mother and father (Edward IV and Karla Haislop), his sisters Charisse Porter and Alexia Luciw and his two amazing brother-in-laws Chad Porter and Joey Luciw. He also leaves behind his two nephews, Cru and Cal, who truly believed that there was no better human than Uncle Eddie. He is also survived by his beautiful aunts, uncles and cousins who he thought so highly of.
Eddie is also survived by his band of brothers, his best friends, who he loved fiercely – Will Salmans, Jake Gold, Tony Brunicardi, Shawn Graham, Tony Allowatt, Sparky Johnson, Drew Bland, Shane Hoffer, Paul Fichtelman, Cale Astorg, Mark Davis, and Addi Gandee. He’s also survived by his North Hills buddies – who were all part of that ‘magical childhood’ that those boys got to experience together.
Lastly, Eddie will be leaving behind the light of his life, his companion Diesel. Diesel was his wingman. He accompanied him on long walks, or on hikes, or for a swim in the lake. He was also his workout partner, and they even ate every meal together.
Services will be Friday 1:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 5-8 PM and Friday one hour prior to the service.
