Thomas Junior Blake

Thomas Junior Blake, 67, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away on June 8, 2025, at Camden Clark Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family, following a brief battle with cancer.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Edith Vannoy Blake; three sons: Steve Blake (Amber), Scott Blake (Ashley), and Stanley Blake (Haley Queen); and his stepfather, Stanley Rogers. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Gaberiel, Brantley, Bryson, Elianna, and Emma Grace. Thomas is also survived by three sisters: Linda Strader, Helen Walden, and Karen Cutright (Doyle); as well as several nieces and nephews. He is also lovingly remembered by his brothers-in-law, Jim Vannoy and Kendall Vannoy (Donna) and special friends, Ray Boggs and Ryan Badgett.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Rogers; his father, Matthew Blake; three brothers, Argil, Larry, and Jerry Blake; and one sister, Georgie Cutright.

Thomas was a family man who cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren. He retired from DHL after more than 20 years of service. Known for his generous spirit, he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, gardening, and canning.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2025, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Amber Blake and Pastor John Witmer officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or Broadway Church of the Nazarene in Parkersburg, WV, in his memory.
