Ruth E. Baker, 102, of Marietta, Ohio, died Monday June 23, 2025, at The Arbors of Marietta. She was born in Grafton, WV a daughter of the late Chester W. and Ella Mae (King) Lowther.
She was a Registered Nurse and had worked at St. Joseph's Hospital and then Eagle Pointe. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughter's Society.
She is survived by her daughter Mary "Kathleen" Bruce of Parkersburg, granddaughter Stephanie Marie Foutty of Parkersburg, and step grandson David J. Bruce (Angela) of Marietta.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William R. Baker, son-in-law David Bruce, and sister Ella Christina Edwards.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father John Rice as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
