Philip Wayne White, 73, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away June 23, 2025, at his residence.
He was born July 25, 1951, in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Albert White and Venniti Runnion White.
Philip was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was a devoted member of South Parkersburg Baptist Church, where he was actively involved in children’s ministries. He retired from Eramet and also served as a bus aide for Wood County Schools. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and looking for deer. He had a passion for coaching and dedicated many years to coaching youth football and baseball, making a lasting impact on the lives of countless young athletes. He will be missed so much by all who knew and loved him.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Tanner White; son, Aaron (Marla) White and granddaughters, Aubree Lynn and Addison Grace of Washington, WV; daughter, Kimberly White of Mineral Wells, WV; brother, James (Linda) White and niece, Jessica White of Syracuse, NY.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Amedisys Hospice and Village Caregiving for their compassionate care and support.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Friday June 27, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Rich Blain officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the funeral home.
