Mary Jane Roberts

Mary Jane Roberts, 85, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away June 19, 2025, at her residence.

She was born Oct. 28, 1939, in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter to the late Rex Lee and Vergie Mary Uhl Lee.

She was a member of Grand Central Church of Christ and also attended Riverside Church. She worked as a cook for Wood County Schools for many years and for OVU admission office. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and canning, and especially loved spending time with her great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her son, Paul Roberts; daughter, Brenda Roberts; granddaughter, Ashley (Chandler) Phillips; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Corbin, Camden, Cohen; niece, Sharon; nephew, Charles and several other loving family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orlen Roberts; two sisters, Ester, Gladys, and brother, Carl.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Kidd officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
