James C. (Jim) Walters, 90, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his family above all else.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Donna Walters, and their five children: Rod (Barb), Randy (Judy), Teresa (Rich), Greg (Kim), and Linda (Robb), his siblings Roger (Joyce), Ronald (Karen), Gary, and Karen, and special family friend, John Bosley, Jr. Jim was a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren and was blessed with numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who brought him much joy.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Mildred Walters, and his one brother and three sisters.
Jim will be remembered for his kindness, steady presence, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with Pastor Chris Waldron officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg.
