Beverly Ann Cox

Beverly Ann Cox passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, with her two loving sons by her side.

Beverly was born on May 5, 1949, in North Tonawanda, New York, the daughter of the late Edwin and Theresa Bremar. She graduated from Antelope Valley High School in California and went on to pursue training as a dental assistant. In her early twenties, she moved to Belpre, Ohio, where she began a 35-year career as a telephone operator with C&P Telephone (later Verizon) in Parkersburg, West Virginia. It was in Parkersburg that she met and married Robert Cox, with whom she shared the joy of raising two sons.

Beverly’s love for her family and friends was boundless. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Christine) of Vienna, Virginia, and Stephen of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas. She will be lovingly remembered by her five grandchildren: Brandon, Eryn, Aiden, Lilly, and Lainey.

Beverly was one of nine siblings and remained close to each throughout her life: Barbara, Edwin (Minako), Andrew, Matthew (Judy), Douglas (Lynn), Kenneth (Tina), James (Lindsay), and Janet (Brian). Her deep affection extended to her many nieces and nephews, whom she loved and cherished as if they were her own.

Beverly had a heart of gold with a happy and gentle spirit. Her bright smile and warm demeanor touched everyone she encountered. She had a rare and genuine ability to make others feel seen, heard, and loved — even strangers. Beverly met life’s challenges with quiet strength, kindness, unwavering love, and a deep-rooted faith. Her devotion to Jesus and the Catholic faith was steadfast and ever-present, shaping the way she lived and loved each day.

Though Beverly’s physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit, compassion, and example will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date and her remains will be joined with her parents at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Little Hocking, Ohio.
