Mary K. "Kitty" Brown, 77, of Parkersburg passed away April 4, 2025, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 6, 1947, in Parkersburg the daughter of the late Bernard and Rosemary Tighe Gilchrist.
She had at one time owned and operated City Beer Distributing and had later worked at the Y.W.C.A. and served as the Secretary at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where she was a member.
Kitty loved people and enjoyed entertaining in her home, she was a wonderful cook and loved decorating for all holidays especially Christmas.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Brown (Cindy) of Parkersburg and her granddaughters, Raylee Whited and Megan Hardman both of Parkersburg.
Mass of Catholic Burial will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father John Rice as Celebrant. Burial will be in the Mt Carmel Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg.
