Judith Dye

Judith D. Bookman Dye, 64, of Wirt County, WV, passed away on March 15, 2025, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was the fourth of five children born to the late Clark E. Bookman Jr. and the late Emogene R. Phillips Bookman.

Judy was a 1978 graduate of Parkersburg High School and received an associate degree from Parkersburg Community College. She was a legal secretary and a Title 1 instructor in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

She loved music and playing the piano for weddings, church, and other events. She also had a real love for animals, especially dogs, and traveling with her husband, David.

Judith is survived by her husband, Pastor David N. Dye, her sisters, Debbie (Charlie) Baxter, Cindy (Cyd) Archer, both of Parkersburg, her brothers, James Bookman of Lima, Ohio, and Clark Bookman III of Scottsville, KY, and her husbands' sons, Brian (Tina) Dye of Parkersburg and David (Pat) Dye of Georgetown, TX, and her nephew Robert (Jessica) Brashear and nieces, Kelly Radabaugh and Jaime (Rob) Emrick. She also leaves behind her four fur babies, Abby, Danny Boy, Cassie, and BoBo.

Judy chose cremation with no funeral service. Her ashes will be laid to rest next to her parents at Kanawha Baptist Cemetery at Leachtown.

Judy wanted to thank Dr. Cawley and all the nurses and staff of Strecker Cancer Center and Marietta Memorial Hospital for their kindness and superb care they gave her.
