Romania Naoma Goff, 96, of Parkersburg passed away March 16, 2025, at Rockland Ridge in Belpre, Ohio, with her family by her side. She was born in Parkersburg a daughter of the late Matthew and Ruby (Tate) Weser.
She had a true passion for gardening, possessing a green thumb that flourished throughout her life. She cherished the forty years spent as co-owner of Goff’s Nursery and Garden Center alongside her husband. She attended Parkersburg High School, and also worked at Yonker’s Manufacturing and Viscose. In her free time, she loved traveling in their motorhome and eagerly anticipated Friday night card games with her sister, Helena and brother-in-law Paul.
She is survived by four children Charlotte Nichols of Belpre, Ohio, Dwight Goff (Yvonne) of Beaver, PA, Cathy Twyman (Larry) of Galena, Ohio, and Sandra Goff of Parkersburg; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Leon Dwight Goff, to whom she was married to for 70 years; son-in-law Norman Nichols, Sr.; and five sisters Freda Spears, Juanita Miihlbach, Wilda Haynes, Tennis Meyers, and Helena Anthony.
Services will be Wednesday 2 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Howard Stephens officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
