Paul Norman Dowler

Paul Norman Dowler, 85, of Barlow, Ohio, passed away on March 14, 2025, at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born on July 10, 1939, on Blennerhassett Island, W.Va. to Herbert and Loretta Courtney Dowler. Paul graduated from Vincent High School in 1958. On September 9, 1961, Paul married Shelba McGregor. He was employed by E.I. Dupont for 35 years and retired in 1997. Paul was an avid hunter, enjoyed the outdoors, tinkering with his 1970 Chevelle Convertible and time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Paul is survived by his wife, his son Norm (Angela) Dowler and his daughter Karen (Dan) Anstatt all of Vincent, his grandson Jason (Joni) Turner of Veto, his granddaughter Lindsay Anstattof Portsmouth, his four great grandchildren JayLynn, Jayla, Gigi and Julian Turner. His sisters Edna Mackey, Helen Venham and Bonnie (Roger) Whytsell and his brothers Walt (Mary Jane) Dowler, Brian (Karen) Dowler and Darrell Dowler and his sister-in-law Cheryl Huffman. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Alma Eaton and his brothers-in-law James McGregor, Larry Huffman, Paul Eaton and Terry Venham, and his mother-in-;law and father-in-law, Mildred and James McGregor.

Private graveside services will be held for family and friends at the Evergreen Cemetery, Belpre with Pastor David Hubbard.
