Darrell Ray Miller

Darrell Ray Miller, age 76, of Ravenswood, WV, died peacefully at home on Feb. 21, 2025, after an extended illness.

Born Sept. 16, 1948, in Parkersburg, WV, son of the late Ray W. And Blondell J. Ward Miller. He was a devoted son, loving husband and father.

Darrell is retired from Local Union 1085 of Parkersburg, WV where he was a member for over 49 years. Before retirement, he was an instructor at the WV Laborers Training Center In Mineral Wells, WV. Darrell had 2 college degrees including engineering technology from WV Tech in Montgomery, WV. Darrell served his country through the US Army Reserves. He was a graduate of Ravenswood High School Class of 1966 where he was in the band, played baseball and football. He was an Ohio State Buckeyes and WV Mountaineer Fan. Darrell grew up in Silverton and had many loyal friends. He had great memories of his time with friends at Suck's Service Station over the years.

Preceded in death by his father Ray W. Miller, mother Blondell J. Miller of Ravenswood. He Is survived by his loving wife Roberta Moss Miller of Ravenswood, brother Jim Miller (Pam) of Portland, OH, sister Nina Hanson (David) of Portland, OH, children Michelle Ritchie (Tyler) of Morgantown, WV and Bart Barker of Coolville, OH. Grandchildren Josh Ritchie (Alexis) of Burlington, WV, Mary Ritchie of Morgantown, WW, and Justin Barker of Coolville, OH. Darrell had 3 nieces Monica Bryan (Tom) of Lubeck, WV, Jayme Hill (Deannie) of Portland, OH, And Hannah Legar (Kirk) of Pomeroy, OH, and several great nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may visit Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025, from 11 a.m. to­ 1p.m. at Roush Funeral Home prior to the service. Funeral service scheduled at 1pm with Rev. Toby Wagoner of First Baptist Church of Ravenswood officiating. Burial to follow in the Ravenswood Cemetery.
