Dale Luther Veon

Dale Luther Veon, age 84, passed away peacefully, Monday, Feb. 3, 2025, at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born March 1,1940, in Burning Springs, West Virginia to the late Harley and Gay Connolly Veon.

He retired from Dupont after 30 years of service. He was a member of Spring Hills Baptist Church in Granville, Ohio and enjoyed serving in the church.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Juanita Veon and children: Darlene (Benny) Vogelson; LaVonne (Dave) Kirby; Pam (Lee) Littleton; and Kevin Veon. Stepchildren include Serita (Scott) Wilson; Nick (Katrina) Deem; and Fran (Marvin) Rutter as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Hershberger Veon, his daughter Juanita Gay Delancey, and 12 siblings.

Services will be Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, 11 a.m. at Hope Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Bud Corbin officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Family, friends, and others whose lives Dale touched are invited to Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
