Wanda Marie Springer, 71, of Parkersburg, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 18, 2024, surrounded by her family.
She was born on Aug. 19, 1953, in Wood County, WV, the daughter of the late James A. and Gladys I. (Smith) Bell. She previously worked at Worthington Healthcare Center and was a custodian for the Wood County Board of Education for several years. Her hobbies were cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her three children. Two daughters – Emma (Josh) Rutter of Marietta, Ohio and Stacy (Dave) Berlin of Alliance, Ohio. One son – Charles (Charley) T. Springer II of Parkersburg, WV. 13 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren. Two brothers – Michael (Bonnie) Bell of Walker, WV and James (Jim) Bell of Waverly, WV. Three sisters – Sharon (Kenny) Welch of Walker, WV, Sally Deuley of Walker, WV, and Beverley LeMaster of Parkersburg, WV, along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one niece, Denise Deuley.
Per Wanda's request, there will be no visitation or service. A private family gathering will be scheduled at a later date.
