Nancy Kaye Cooper

Nancy Kaye Cooper, 75, of Vienna, WV, formerly of West Hamlin, WV passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024.

She is preceded in death by her parents Arlie and Juanita Cooper, and 2 brothers Jerry and Larry Cooper.

She is survived by sister Ruth Ann (Fred) Lawson, Lexington, KY, niece Mckayla (Josh) Cairns, Lexington, KY and nieces Dana Fierro and Deedra Braner. In addition, 2 grand nephews Silas & Freddie Cairns.

Nancy was a special education teacher for Lincoln County schools and a special ed teacher and psychologist for Wood County schools.

Nancy enjoyed reading, cross stitch, jigsaw puzzles, her cats over the years and the beauty of God’s majestic world and its wondrous landscapes. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Nancy’s greatest loves were her family and special friends.

The family will have a private burial at Enon Cemetery in Lincoln County, WV.

There will be a celebration of life service in January 2025 in Vienna, date to be set later.

In memory of Nancy the family asks that any gift or donation be made to the Special Olympics of West Virginia in her honor.
